Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 until 2022. As a part of the Democratic Party, she previously worked in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009); the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011); the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015) and as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a contributor to the election to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki's career started in 2001 when she worked for the reelection campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki later served as press secretary in John Kerry's presidential election campaign. Psaki was in office from 2005 until 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was the press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. 20 February 2013 Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State. [20] Her hiring in the Department of State fueled speculation that she could replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney after he left the White House on May 30th, 2014 it was announced Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She returned to White House as Communications Director in 2015 , and was there until the end.
